Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door,I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me. Rev. 3:19-20.
He is not a God who just walks away and gives up on you, but He knocks, and knocks. Until His Hands are tired, but even past the tired Hands, He continues to knock. Whether you open it or not, whether you acknowledge Him or not, He's there. He says "Here I am!" He doesn't leave you or abandon you. You may be sitting there and saying or wondering why He isn't there. He is, but sometimes on the other side of the door. Sometimes we let Him into our souls, we open the door, and then though we opened the door, selfishly sometimes we choose to push Him away, and close the door on Him. And then... we yell at Him, become upset at Him, or complain to Him, and ask why are you so far away God? And the truth is, it's because of you, He doesn't leave you, but you can push Him away, be careful of that, sometimes we like to blame Him for what we did. So, have you pushed Him away, or maybe you've never opened the door to Him. Whether the door is opened or closed there are things you can be certain of; He never gives up on you, He will stand and knock, until the end of your life. His love for you doesn't waver or change, even on the other side of the door, He loves you, even with rugged Hands from knocking, He still loves you. And He wants you. Even though you've pushed Him away, shut the door on Him, and even maybe never acknowledged His knocking, He wants your heart. Stop pushing Him away when you want to control things or don't know how things will turn out. He's waiting at your door and He's waiting to help.
