We all enjoy being happy and when we are not happy, we want to fix that. The truth is, we live in a world that causes, stress, anxiety, depression, and other things like those. When we experience stress, depression, or feeling overwhelmed, we try and make it better ourselves. We think that we can silence our feelings with the things of this world. I have tried this. When I was younger, one thing I usually did when I was sad, or angry, I would play the piano, hoping it would drown my sorrows, and quiet my anger. Though, when I played, I felt SOME relief... when I would stop, my emotions were still there. I was still sad or still angry. It was temporary satisfier. We look for eternal satisfaction in a temporary world. But, what if we looked for eternal satisfaction, from an Eternal Person, at an Eternal Word, in an eternal world? How different things would be. This world likes to sell you happiness or satisfaction, when in reality, what they're selling, is a temporary satisfier, that will eventually fail. The things the world offers and sells are just distractions and eventually they stop working. When you use a distraction for so long, it eventually loses its affect, because you know you're trying to distract yourself, and in the end it just doesn't distract you anymore. If you want eternal happiness, look at what the Word has to say, because that is truth, and that is eternal.

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:18

Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. Colossians 3:2
