Prayer Changes Things

I have this sign in my room on my wall that says "Prayer Changes Things." As I stared at it, I realized that when we hear that, we automatically think that our circumstances will change. That's not the case all the time. Just because we pray it does not mean that our circumstances will always change and that it will all turn out the way we want it to. But prayer changes things by allowing us to take all our things to God, laying it all at His Feet, washing our hands of it, saying "God it's yours." It does not always change our circumstances, but changes how we might view our circumstances. When we lay it all at His Feet, we surrender it all to Him, and know that it is not ours to take care of anymore.
