Have you ever lost something? Or been in the midst of trouble and/or struggle and felt as though you were all alone, as if you had no hope, as if it was impossible?
He said,
“I came naked from my mother’s womb, and I will be naked when I leave. The Lord gave me what I had, and the Lord has taken it away. Praise the name of the Lord!”
Job 1:21
I talked about Job in another blog titled "Blessings In Disguise." Go check that one out too. But, I will give a little bit of background of Job here as well. Job lost everything. In chapter one of Job, it was just the beginning of everything. The verse referenced above is after Job lost many important things, his way to get food, and his ways of traveling. In the beginning of Job 1, Satan speaks to the Lord, and pretty much tells the Lord of course Job follows you, he has everything. The Lord allowed the Devil to tempt Job, but not hurt him physically. After Job lost these things look at what he said. "Praise the name of the Lord!" In the midst of his struggle and loss, he still praised the Lord. The Lord gave it all to me and now He has taken it away and Job stayed faithful and trusted the Lord. So, if you're struggling today, if you feel like there is no hope, there is, and you can get through this. Praise His Name even in the struggles, even when life feels impossible, even when you feel like you have nothing left.
