School, work, life, at some point it all comes to be overwhelming. It becomes overwhelming because we're so focused on doing these things, accomplishing them, and doing them to where we feel we completed the standard we set. Just saying all of that is overwhelming! Sometimes this stage comes where we have been carrying everything for too long that we feel so overwhelmed, even little things. How different would things be if we learned to be overwhelmed by Christ, instead of the world, and life? To be overwhelmed by His grace, His kindness, His love, His mercy, that would be so beautiful. That is the best overwhelming, to be overwhelmed with who He is.
Overwhelm- Bury or drown beneath a huge mass; give too much of a thing to (someone)
You see He does not overwhelm us with life, but we overwhelm ourselves with life. I think this is something we so easily forget, we like to blame others, we don't like to admit that things are overwhelming because we have allowed them to be. When things are overwhelming we tend to think about how overwhelming it is, which makes it even worse, but what would happen if we anchored ourself in Him? We often think being overwhelmed is bad and it can be, but when we are overwhelmed by HIM, it is completely different. Be overwhelmed by Him and who He is, anchor yourself in Him. A rushing and refreshing waterfall is what comes to mind when I think of being overwhelmed by Him, not drowning, but being refreshed, and renewed.
"Chaos may be the center of your life and you may feel so overwhelmed, I've been there, it's crazy and stressful! But leave it all at Gods Feet. Surrender to Him, He will bring peace. I promise that. When it's all in His Hands and none of it is in yours, peace encompasses your life."- Prohibiting Our Problems to Be Defeated, Skyler Lee
