This may offend people, so if you're going to be offended, no need to send me an elongated message about how you think I may be wrong. Here is the truth I am presenting to you, you can either choose to seek it, or choose to ignore it.
What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray?
Matthew 18:12
The verse that everyone is taking out of context 🙌
Yes, He leaves the 99 for the one. The one what? The one who went ASTRAY. Saying that is what we are doing is fighting for the one right now. Saying that yes all lives matter, but they're not the ones that matter now is absurd, and using this verse to defend that is wrong and is twisting truth. We are all the one. We all have gone astray. Jesus is talking about sin here, not skin. We are all the one. We all need saving. He searches us out. He desires our hearts. I'm not saying I don't care about black people, no, I'm saying that yes they matter, we all matter. Christians are being persecuted, truth is being hidden, other races are being oppressed, because of sin. Sin is active. Sin is the disease, the virus, the sickness that is killing us all. We are frogs being slowly boiled, until suddenly, our breath is swiped away from us, and we become dead to truth, and alive to sin. He rejoices at finding the one sheep, because He finally has received their heart. They have come back from running from Him, come back from being blinded, come back from being lost, come back from SIN. Again I say it, we are ALL the one. Because we all have gone astray. Because it's sin that's the issue. It's poisoning our very air we breathe and there is only ONE antidote.
I thought this was a very important issue to point out. This is something, I personally think a lot of followers of Christ are overlooking, and not realizing how they're taking it out of context. The one thing people miss is the ASTRAY part. I also wanted to point out the love He has for us. No matter how far we run, He runs after. He loves us so much that He runs after us. He wants you. When we turn against Him, He still has the love, and grace to pursue us. I'm so thankful for a God, who loves us, no matter what we do, He loves. I hope this reveals truth to some and this verse is seen in context now :) some may say that "all lives matter" is "selfish," others may say you're missing the point, and the others may say that they're oppressed, or Jesus would stand with the black people. While I have many arguments to combat all of those, I will not use them, because this was not written for debate, but for truth to be seen. Jesus stands with everyone. He stands with angels and with sinners. Perfect and imperfect. Green, yellow, black, white, asian, everyone. And don't get me wrong, I do not hate black people. I've gone on mission trips and talked to a lot of people, coming from many different places, and a lot of them have been some of the sweetest people ever. I am against twisting truth, hiding the truth, and taking verses out of context. I do understand how this can happen though, it is very easy to do, all of these are easy to do.
Therefore, God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.
Romans 1:24-25
Serve the CREATOR rather than the creature. The creature who is lurking behind you and is trying to poison your very air with every breath you breathe.
