Most Important Relationship

I've done a blog on friendships, but I haven't done one on what our relationship with God should look like. There are two major things this world lacks and I think has ruined. I challenge you to see what your relationship with God might be lacking today and how you can fix it. The two major things that are super important to me in any relationship is trust and communication. Let's start with trust. I don't know where your relationship with God stands, but I do know that it needs trust. When trust is lacking in our relationship with God we are placing trust in ourselves and putting our walls up with God. Lack of trust with God can be because of fear, worry, dissatisfaction that you don't have control, and if someone else breaks our trust and we put our walls up with that person, but with God as well. Without trust, chaos churns, and struggles strangle us. Without trust, there is no communication, there is no peace, no relationship. What would a relationship be without trust? You don't share anything with them and you don't know what you can say and what you can't, there's a wall. Yes, people will hurt you, with some people you need to put that wall up, but God is so different. He will never hurt you, leave you, break a promise, He's always there. We can't put our walls up with God because someone hurts us, instead that's when we need to be most vulnerable with Him, He is not human. Lastly, communication. Communication is important as well because without it, how do people know what you're going through? God desires us to talk to Him about everything! If we're not sharing something with God it sits inside of us and we feel uneasy because everything we try doesn't help it. When we say God, I'm struggling with this, I need help, He hears us. Whatever it is whether it's a struggle or just something that seems so little God loves to hear it. When we talk to God about something yes, it makes it real, but it also relieves us of carrying it on our own. He wants to know what is going on through our minds and in our lives. Are you trusting and communicating with God? If not, ask yourself why? Are your walls up? He is not human, don't treat Him like someone else who might hurt you, your walls don't need to be up, put them down, surrender and do it faithfully, boldly, and confidently. This world has ruined trust by being untrustworthy, everyone's fake, you struggle finding people are wholly and truly themselves. And it has ruined communication with messaging and social media. People don't call, rarely talk face to face now, and it makes us treat God the same, distant, not in a face to face manner. Let's be people who change that.
