Indescribable Love

Love these days is such an overused and misused word. The word 'love' is used so often and so vague that it is hard to figure out how deep of a love people are talking about, or how real of a love they are talking about. We all have said "I love food." I would say in that sentence 'love' is misplaced, you can say that you really like something, but I feel like in this day and age the word love has lost its meaning because of how lightly it is used. We all have certain people we actually love and who actually love us, with a real, genuine love. And have the people that we wouldn't say we love There are times we feel that we don't deserve love, and sometimes we feel as if we are going through everything alone. There is a love that is indescribable and incredible. A love that we feel and we are overwhelmed by, and this is a love we do not deserve at all. We all sin. We all are flawed. We all make mistakes. But Jesus. But Jesus came and walked the earth. He came and He encountered people, who hated Him on a daily basis, and you know what He did? He showed them love. No matter how they treated Him, love was the answer, love was what He showed, everyone. Friend or foe, follower or scoffer, all were shown love, constantly. "For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."- Mark 10:45. "Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him."-John 13:5. He came to serve US, not so that we would serve Him. Think about Jesus washing the disciples' feet. Back then, they wore sandals, they wore cheap, and not very well made shoes. Their feet were the dirtiest, covered in dirt, poop from the animals, and I'm sure bug guts. Jesus the King of Kings, the One who saved you from your sins, got down on His knees and washed the dirtiest feet, without grumbling or complaining, but instead WILLINGLY! Not only did He do that. After living a life full of people loving Him and hating Him, praising Him and mocking Him, He died. Not only did He wash the dirtiest feet, but died the most gruesome death, for who? Oh, only His most prized creation. Hear this. He carried His own cross, the cross He was going to die on, He carried it. After He carried it, He was nailed to it, while He was nailed to it with blood pouring from everywhere, wearing a crown of thorns, He was spit on, mocked, scorned, hated, and betrayed. They made Him drink sour wine, while bleeding on that cross. He came to serve and to save you. He came to save you from the sin that you continue to fall prey to, He came to save you from sin that keeps chasing you. He came to earth with a mission, and no He did not come by force, but He came WILLINGLY, knowing the price that was awaiting to get paid. He did not die for His gain, He died for our gain. We deserved to die on that cross, you deserved to die on that cross, but you did not have to, because He gave us a way to be forgiven, through Him. He died the death you deserved to die. So that, if we accept Him into our hearts, and confess with our mouths we could live in Heaven with Him, forever. That is love. That is sacrificial and selfless love. He came to earth, washed dirty feet, wanted to serve others, not others to serve Him, and died. He died willingly and knowingly. He knew you needed a Savior and He came. I do not think that you can tell me of any other love you know that is like that. He rose again on the third day and He is reigning in Heaven, and you want to know what He does now? He guides you and carries your burdens for you, if you let Him. Just as He carried that cross, He carries your burdens. And you want to know something else cool? Jesus does not need you, but what is the coolest is, He WANTS you, He desires you and a relationship with you. A love no one could give to you. He loves you like crazy, He loves you more than you could ever imagine, and it does not matter what you have ever done, His love is still there, His love still reaches you, I promise you, it is there. His love never stops, never ends, is always flowing, and is always overwhelming(in the best way). Even if you feel like you have screwed up so bad and there is no way He could love you... He does. He does the impossible, He loves all, all the time. He is always listening to you, always. And if you do not have a relationship with Jesus... He loves you too, and He listens to you too. Pray and talk with Jesus. No matter who you are, where you live, what you have done, He loves you. His love is radical, heart changing, incredible, indescribable, overwhelming, overflowing, forever, never changing, always present, unstoppable, and even if I used all the good adjectives to describe His love, it still would not ever explain how grand it truly is.
Came to serve
Came to save
Died
All for you
You are not alone and you are not unloveable.
