Hills and Valleys

Everyday we discover bad things and good things. Everyday we determine if we had a bad day or a good day, based on the things we encountered and experienced through the day. Some days are difficult and we just seem like we can't win, and sometimes that feeling lasts for weeks, even months at times. It is exhausting. It is confusing, and it is hard. Then there are other days or seasons that we feel like we are victorious and we are doing so well. Those times are encouraging and easy. Each season we go through is for a reason, God has a plan for our lives that He has had for us before we were born. He knows what you're going through, whether it is a good or bad season, or whether you had a good or bad day. The hills are the good and easy times. Times that aren't stressful and times that we just live. The hills or good times of life are used for many things too. All good and perfect things are from God. Sometimes, through the good periods God helps us see our blessings and brings us happiness. Sometimes, God makes sure that we are clinging to Him, even in the good times, because we need Him all the time, and He also uses these times to show us His character, who He is, and what He does. The valley consists of hard and difficult times, where the path is narrow, the only way we have left to go is straight, there seems like there is no room for error, and we just can't seem to get above the mountains or hills. God uses the valleys(hard times or trough periods) for many reasons, that are all good, as long as we cling to Him, let Him guide us through them, and trust that He has a plan and follow it. Some ways He uses the valley seasons is to strengthen us, grow our trust in Him, and help us realize how much we need Him. These hard times we go through are not ever made to harm us or make us suffer, but to grow us, strengthen us, and to show us more of Him and how much we truly need Him. Sometimes, in the hard times, that is when God reveals Him and His character most. Though, in the hard times, we can also forget about how good Him and His character is, because we feel so alone and we feel at times that we need to do it all on our own. No matter what kind of season you're in right now, a good or a bad, a hill or a valley, remember this.
