We all doubt at times, whether it is ourselves, our friends, a situation, whatever it may be, we have all done it. We have all also doubted God at some point. When He brings us to something, at times, we doubt His power and ability to bring us through it. We also believe that we ourselves are inadequate to accomplish what He is calling and bringing us to do. We think, how could we possibly ever do that? We question and ask "God, how could I ever do this?" or "Why would you use me?" God says "I will not bring you to something I can't get you through, I want you to do this. It will grow you, it will teach you, and it will strengthen you. You are adequate and I will equip you for this, but you have to trust me, and stop doubting me." When we think we are inadequate to do something, we are doubting God, and lacking in trust. If God is calling us to do something, He will make it happen. Doubting God is a lack of trust. You need to trust that God will fully equip you to do what He is calling you to. Another thing we tend to doubt is His timing. We often ask the question 'when?' When will this happen, when will this all end, when will I stop struggling with this? Everything happens in His perfect timing. Though, at times, this is hard to believe, hard to realize, it's true, no matter the circumstance you're in right now. Read it slowly, His timing is perfect. There is a reason you're still struggling with this, that that hasn't happened yet, and that it hasn't ended yet. Whether it is to grow you, strengthen you, humble you, show you, teach you, or maybe you have absolutely no idea how it will help you at all, He's got it, and it will all fold out in His perfect timing. We also doubt His plans. He guides us and after some time, we begin drifting off to our own way. Why? Usually, because we doubt where He is leading us or we are afraid. When we doubt where He is leading us chaos happens because of two main reasons. Reason 1. We go our own way and it gets out of control, stressful, and chaotic. This happens because we don't know what we are doing and we selfishly follow our own way, instead of surrendering to God's control. Reason 2. When we follow our own plan and realize that doesn't work, the only option we have is to turn back to God with a face of shame and regret that we carry. Then, we realize that we need to begin following Him again, but we remember why we went our own way in the first place, because we doubted. Two things happen at this moment, we seek forgiveness, but we also need to get over that trap of doubt and just trust Him. Have you ever had this gut feeling, but went against it, and ended up failing and wish you went with that gut feeling? That's how it is with God we KNOW what is right, but we go against it, because we doubt it, and think we know best. You don't know best. Surrender to trust and throw away the doubt. Doubting God leads to a doubtful future, a future that is chaotic and seemingly uncontrollable, but trusting, following, and obeying Him leads to a precious, protected, and full future. Even doubting your own abilities is doubting God's, He will equip you.
