"Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!"

Psalms 46:10 ESV

Be still. I think that's something that is foreign to our world today. It's so involved. This world says we need to be busy, constantly, it grabs for our attention and God says... You know... I just need you to be still. It reminds me of a child running around. A child doing school and just constantly moving around, needing to do something. And God just says, hey... just be still for me, with me. He is peace and in order to experience that peace we need to take the moments of being still in His presence. We need to soak up our time with Him, soak Him up. We are the child that just cannot sit still, and He looks at us and says Be Still He knows we can, that we are able to, bit it is our choice to do it. Yes, we may need to have some self discipline, we will need to MAKE (not find) time for Him. But it's all worth it, because when we sit and listen, and soak it all in... We exalt Him within us, which transfers into others, which transfers into the earth, which transfers into the nations, which transfers into the world. And then He is exalted in every nation, in all the earth...

God doesn't want us to be like an unstill child, but to be still. He does want us to have faith like a child. To be still is to recognize the beauty and blessings all around you, that's what happens when you're still. To be still is to feel His be peace and to know He has it all in His hands. To be still is to not run, hide, stress, worry, it's to be still in and with Him. It is to rest and understand that there's nothing that should make me run all around because I have a God who knows what I need and knows where I need to go and with His perfect guidance as I be still, He will guide, and He will pour peace over me, and it allows me in the stillness to know He is God.
